For over 25 years, the Polished Brass has been providing music for tri-state audiences. Backed by its large library of brass quintet music and with talented musicians to bring it all to life, it’s easy to see why this group is called on so often for summer concerts, weddings, graduations, and more. It was dubbed the “instant orchestra” by Jim Knippenberg, former Cincinnati Enquirer columnist, because it came together so quickly. Don’t miss this great time to sit back and relax! https://polished-brass.com.

TRANSATLANTIS: WHERE MUSIC EMBRACES TWO CONTINENTS

Program Date:

Presented by Sylvain Acher and fellow musicians

[EasyDNNnews:ProgramDate]
Cynthia Browne 0 2941 Article rating: No rating

The music of jazz guitarist Sylvain’s group is both fresh and attractive, yet also familiar.  This is because the compositions, all original, draw from many diverse styles.  This kind of “world music” is all tied together by lyrically crafted melodies, choice harmonies, and Sylvain’s French vocals – vocals that can be wistful (N’fais pas d’betises) to positively gritty (New Orleans).
