Who knew there were quite a few stories connecting Shakespeare to Cincinnati, from the earliest days of the city’s settlement to the present day? The rich heritage shows how much Cincinnatians loved the Bard over the past 200 years. A few attention-grabbers from historical accounts include: “An actress died on stage just when her character was supposed to die.” “A 70-year old Hamlet thrilled the audience and inspired a Cincinnati landmark.” “A fire broke out in a Cincinnati theater and ‘Hamlet’ left the stage to guide the audience to safety.” Join us for this unique presentation about these amazing connections!
